The Food Bank began in 1980 out of the Steinbach Lions Club after a local mother asked for help, receiving the first food hamper. In 1986, it became South East Helping Hands, growing from supporting 10–15 families to up to 400 every two weeks.
South East Helping Hands remains fully independent, relying entirely on donations. We are proud to be a supporter, helping continue its impact in the community.
