2022 Ram 1500 Powertrain
Among its many Ram trims levels available at Steinbach, V-6 and V-8 gasoline engines are available. All engines are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 48-volt hybrid system is available on both engines, but the 5.7-litre Hemi V-8 can also work without electric support.
There is 480 pounds-feet of torque generated by the 3.0-litre V-6 diesel (EcoDiesel) engine, which is more powerful than similar diesel engines on the half-ton truck market. Although it’s slower than the Hemi, the six-cylinder diesel engine is refined for diesel and offers better fuel economy.

The Ram 1500 has a spacious passenger space as well as great storage no matter which of the Ram 1500 Trims you choose. With higher Ram 1500 Trims, the Ram feels more like a luxury vehicle than a pickup truck due to the higher quality materials and comfort options that come standard with it.

Ram trucks have been offering one of the best-in-class connectivity features and best infotainment systems for many years. It remains true on the latest trucks, which come with a responsive 12.0-inch touchscreen unless you opt for the base Ram model. Touchpoints are complemented by physical knobs and hard buttons on the largest screen. Multiple power outlets are included, combined with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a WiFi hotspot.
